Colton Orr Emasculates Zack Stortini GigantORR Episode 5/ Mouth On MSG

The Mouth once again presents his Ranger Crisis.com only feature GigantORR Episode #5. The feature continues in time line the pugilistic trials and tribulations of the Broadway Bruiser Colton Orr’s fight card in the 2008-2009 season. Orr’s FIFTH fight of the season took place against Edmonton Oilers Zack “The Hack” Stortini at MSG on November 10th 2008.

Stortini holds on for dear life and prudently stays in tight with what at first seems is a strategy that will lead to him eventually standing toe to toe with GigantORR. Instead Stortini decides to go yella and basically turn tail along with cranium and resorts to a cowardly retreat mode. If it weren’t for the mercy of the benevolent Orr, the Broadway Bruiser could have waylaid some real damage to the back Of Stortini’s dome while “The Hack” cowered like a big time Nancy.

Following the fight The Mouth make his cable Network debut on MSG’s program “Fans Most Wanted” commenting on Wayne Gretzky’s tenure as a Ranger. The Mouth comments come directly after the conclusion of a rare clip of Gretzky giving engraved sticks out to his teammates in the Locker room shortly before his final game in the NHL.

Ranger FAN Scores Goal at MSG 1/11/93

The Mouth treats us to one of the rarest and funniest of Ranger clips he has obtained throughout the years, A game in which an actual Ranger FAN scored a goal at MSG on Kirk McLean of the Vancouver Canucks. It happened on January 11th 1993. When a Ranger fan tossed a puck from the crowd during play and put it directly into the opposition’s net.

The amazing thing is that this Ranger fan hurled the puck into the net exactly as Mark Messier had an excellent and quality scoring chance ! The confusion on the ice actually led to a goal review which eventually led to a NO goal decision.

After this on ice oddity John Davidson the Rangers announcer at the time went into a hilarious and wacky tirade in which he called for the fan who had hurled the puck to be thrown into the slammer.

I know for sure had The Mouth been there he would have bought the guy a beer and a dog for his antics.

Orr vs Boulton 64 Punches (1:17 ) 10/30/2008 GigantORR Episode 4

The Mouth once again presents his Ranger Crisis.com only feature GigantORR Episode #4. The feature continues in timeline the pugilistic trials and tribulations of the Broadway Bruiser Colton Orr’s fight card in the 2008-2009 season. This show features Colton Orr’s most epic battle occurring on his fourth fight of the season on October 30th, 2008. when he clashed with Atlanta Thrasher demo man Eric Boulton.

Most followers of the fisticuffs rated this one of the most entertaining fights of the entire 2008-2009 season. Sixty-Four Punches thrown between these two Ice Titan's in total, FORTY by Colton Orr alone, But Boulton landed several bombs on Orr that would have knocked a lesser man on queer street.

This fight that lasted a One Minute and Seventeen Seconds a true example of the great physical shape both these tough guys were in. The Mouth initially scored the fight as it was on the ice a draw.

This was until Eric Boulton was interviewed between the ensuing intermission about the tussle and Boulton called it a “A fight of Nutrition” rather than correctly calling it a “Fight of Attrition." This comment swayed the Big man to give the nod to Orr, because obviously Orr had somehow scrambled Boulton’s brain matter and turned Boulton into a stammering goof.

Rangers vs Islanders February 4th 1981

The Mouth rummages through the Treasure Trove and finds this beauty of a game that really typifies what a Ranger/Islander contest was in the late 70 till the mid 80’s. The pure hatred of each other on the ice was always evident.

Rather than show you hi-lites from the game , the game will be shown in it’s entirety. Well kinda. Fearing a cease and desist letter from the NHL the big man will share The first eight minutes of the game. A great example of how a broadcast would go when these two rivals met back in the day.

The game progresses like any other until it culminates in a Exciting and long forgotten Ranger moment at MSG.

This game also features Ranger announcers Jim Gordon and Bill Chadwick , both of who may have been lacking on citing the particulars of a game, but always brought fun and excitement to every Ranger broadcast. Jim Gordon died of cancer one day after turning 76. Bill “The Big Whistle” Chadwick is still with us god love him at the age of 93. So sit back and enjoy the Ranger/Islander rivalry at what could be it’s peak. February 4,1981.

Colton Orr Clobbers Andrew Peters Twice ! / Sean Avery Drills Nathan Paetsch GigantORR Episode 3

The Mouth once again presents his Ranger Crisis.com only feature GigantORR Episode #3. The feature continues in timeline the pugilistic trials and tribulations of the Broadway Bruiser Colton Orr’s fight card in the 2008-2009 season. This show begins with Colton squaring off for his third fight of the season against Buffalo Sabres punching bag Andrew Peters at MSG on October 15th 2008. The fight is short and somewhat uneventful.

In order to satiate the urge to see what a longer fight between Orr and Peters would result in The Mouth treats us to a previous bout between the two from the previous 2007-2008 campaign that took place on March 10th, 2008.

As The Mouth perused that game he came up with a nice Sean Avery gem. The clip shows Avery leveling Sabre Defenseman Nathan Paetsch on the offensive zone boards then taking the puck away and passing it to Brandon Dubinski. Brandon returns the pass to Avery who then makes a slick backhand shovel pass out in front of the net to Jaromir Jagr who proceeds to score one of the easiest goals of his career.

Several replays are shown of the Avery hit which gets more enjoyable each time the viewer watches it. Unfortunately for the victim Paetsch it would take him several hours to remember what planet he was on.

Sean Avery Points Finger At Flames Mike Cammalleri

The Mouth hoofed it over to Manhattan on May 14, 2009 to the NHL store to catch Broadways Bad Boy Sean Avery live and in person being interviewed by Ron Duguay, Ken Daneyko and Chris Kotsopoulos on their XM/Sirius show "Ice Breakers". The Big man went there hoping to score an interview and possibly a free meal from Crisis fans but on both counts came up empty handed.

However, he had a a blast talking with Ranger fans about his favorite subject Blue Shirt Hockey. It's all captured here as well THREE very important questions asked of Sean Avery from the Icebreaker panel. Questions, that all Ranger fans I'm sure all Ranger fans would love to hear the answers to.

All the answers are captured here by the unsteady camera work of The Mouth. Some of the more Insane Ranger Fans hung around to talk to the Big Guy about their wish list for the Rangers upcoming 2009-2010 season.

Colton Orr vs Riley 'No Way" Cote TWO FIGHTS !! GigantORR Episode 2

The Mouth presents his Ranger Crisis.com only feature GigantORR Episode #2. The feature continues in time line the pugilistic trials and tribulations of the Broadway Bruiser Colton Orr's actual fight card from the 2008-2009 season.

In this show Orr takes on Riley "No Way" Cote. The initial fight shown here is Orr's second overall tussle of the season that took place on October 11th, 2008 at The Wachovia Center in Philly. At first glimpse it would seem that Orr may have gotten bested by Cote but a replay shows clearly that Colton landed some solid punches unabated before slipping onto the ice, rather than what initially appears to be a Orr succumbing quickly to a Riley punch.

The Mouth in order to prove that Riley Cote could never beat anyone, no less the likes of a Colton Orr, he then fast forwards to March 14, 2009 where Cote and Orr tangled up yet again. This fight would mark Colton's 18th fight of the season. Orr removes any doubt that a prelim like Cote could ever be a match for him by giving Riley "No Way" Cote a tune up he wishes he could forget.

The Mouth shares some TV with the Ranger Crisis.com faithful that features Ranger fiery antagonizer Sean Avery. Dave Brown Decapitates Sandstrom Tale Of Two Feeds

The Mouth examines what he likes to call The Tale Of Two Feeds examining one of the most dastardly deeds done to a Ranger EVER. On October 26th, 1987 Dave Brown of the Flyers delivered one of the most brutal crosschecks to the head of Ranger winger Thomas Sandstrom.

The Ranger feed which is shown first has announcer John Davidson ready to call the police on Brown for his on ice decapitation attempt. The Second Clip which is the Flyer feed has Philly announcers Gene Hart and Bobby "The Chief" Taylor saying Sandstrom is not injured but merely Playing Dead.

This was typical Hart/Taylor Flyer bias and Homerism which was prevalent in Flyer broadcasts in the 70s and 80s. Brown received ONLY a 15 game suspension for his guillotine like wack at Sandstrom's neck.
